Melbourne Zoo's Kids Party Packages are perfect for kids aged two to ten.
We offer a range of both indoor and outdoor venue options throughout Melbourne Zoo and our package includes a food and beverage attendant, a child friendly menu and fun activities. We can even provide colourful birthday cupcakes made at our very own Zoo Bakery! And we don't forget the parents with an adult friendly menu that can be pre-ordered.
Our experienced zoo events team can also organise entertainment, styling or a keeper talk to ensure your child’s birthday is a memorable one.

Package prices include:
- Up to 10 children and 2 adults*
- Room/Venue hire
- Catering for up to 10 children and the 2 adults
- Plus, all the additional inclusions listed above
Additional children are charged at $50 per child.
Member bookings receive 10% off package prices and a complimentary lolly cup for each child guest.*
*A ratio of 1 adult to 4 children is required.
* Lolly cup promotion only applicable for birthday parties booking in November and December 2025.
GORILLA RANGER STATION
$195
Perfect for 30 guests with no more than 15 children. This stand alone room is nestled amongst the bamboo and is tucked away, an adventure just to get there. Complete with an outside deck and animal exhibit it is the perfect dedicated space to host your children’s birthday party.
OUTDOOR PAVILIONS
April - August $155
September - March $195
Fantastic undercover space looking out onto the lawns. Perfect for up to 60 guests per pavilion and 30 children. These dedicated pavilions right next to the Reptile House allow your kids to play on the lawns while enjoying their birthday party.
For more space we recommend booking two Pavilions at once for the package price of $355.00
DIGEST ED
$285
Perfect for up to 50 guests with no more than 25 children. This unique space looks over the Lion's Den along the path of Lion Gorge. Add a Keeper Talk and Digest Ed becomes a perfect dedicated space for the ‘wildest’ of children’s parties.
PRIVATE FUNCTION ROOMS
Melbourne Zoo also has a range of indoor private function spaces, that include Rainforest Room, Bong Su Room and Leopard Lodge. These indoor spaces can accommodate between 20 and 200 and are very versatile for any style of event. Please ask your Event Coordinator for further information.
Ticketing
Additional adults (outside the 2 adults included in the package) attending the function must purchase admission tickets to the Zoo. We offer a 50% discount when you purchase tickets 10 days prior to the function date. After this date, no changes or additions/refunds can be made. Please email zooevents@restaurantassociates.com.au if you wish to receive the discounted tickets.
If you missed the deadline, you’ll need to purchase admission tickets here at full price.
If you are an Adult Zoo Member, you can use your Membership to gain entry.
