Become an Animal Adopter to help animals in our care and in the wild.
With a monthly donation of $15 or more you can support Zoos Victoria to continue to provide world-class care and enrichment to your favourite species and all the animals at Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary, and Kyabram Fauna Park. Additionally your monthly donations will also support Zoos Victoria’s vital conservation programs fighting to save critically endangered wildlife from extinction.

You will receive an Animal Adopters welcome pack in the mail which includes a photo and information sheet on your chosen species, Animal Adopters magnet and further details on the impact of your support. Plus if you share your birthday, you'll receive annual birthday cards from your favourite animal species.

Are you passionate about protecting Australia’s precious wildlife? You can now support local threatened species that Zoos Victoria is fighting to save from extinction as an Animal Adopter. Zoos Victoria works with these 27 local threatened species through research, breeding and recovery programs to ensure we don’t lose any species to extinction.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes, all donations of $2 and above to Zoos Victoria are tax-deductible in Australia, including Animal Adopters donations. A tax receipt for your monthly donations will be issued after 30 June annually. The receipt will reflect the total amount of recurring donations donated over the previous financial year.
Becoming an Animal Adopter is a great gift idea for animal lovers of all ages! We recommend setting up the Animal Adoption in the name of the person making the donations so that your annual tax receipts are under the correct name. If you would like us to include a gift card inside your Animal Adopters welcome pack so that you can give it on as a gift, please email donate@zoo.org.au to let us know the gift recipient’s name.
Rather than supporting one individual animal, we have set up our Animal Adopters program for you to connect with your favourite species. Your donations support us to provide ongoing world-class care and enrichment to all the animals at our three zoos, including the species that you adopt, and our vital conservation work to fight wildlife extinction.
